About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a clinical nurse performing a variety of professional nursing and health services to patients of all ages who present for treatment of illness or injuries at a military treatment facility (MTF). Provides direct care for patients with various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Provides Emergency Department (ED) clinical nursing care to patients of any age group.
- Assess incoming patients and prioritize patient care based on need, available staffing, and patient acuity.
- Provides comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care using knowledge of professional nursing theories, principles, and procedures.
- Performs various pulmonary ventilation functions; operates and monitors highly complex technical equipment and documents appropriately in the health record.
- Teaches, on-boards, and mentors professional and paraprofessional nursing staff, assisting with complex nursing and diagnostic procedures.
