About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
- Manage the care of patients with complex and multifaceted medical and surgical needs, applying advanced clinical expertise and judgment.
- Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, identifying subtle and critical changes in patient conditions, and implementing sophisticated nursing interventions.
- Interpret lab results and other findings and reports them to the healthcare provider when those findings indicate a deterioration of the patient’s condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for high-risk patients.
- Provide leadership within the unit, mentoring junior nursing staff and serving as a resource for complex clinical situations.
