Registered Nurse - Float Resource Pool

The LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Resource Pool, aligned under Patient Care Services.

• The Resource Pool/Float Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable or individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal care to multiple areas of nursing. The focus is on individual growth and development in practice with increased levels of self-direction. Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in multiple care units. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs and specific care of the patients served in the assigned area of practice. Ability to formulate a plan of care based on nursing assessments. Seeks guidance in how to improve care provided to patients and families. Delegates elements of care to the appropriate individual based upon assessed needs, condition, and safety of the patient. The nurse brings principles and theory with limited application of critical thinking skills.
