The positions are located at the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI. Milwaukee is located in southeastern Wisconsin, about 90 minutes from Chicago, IL and Madison, WI.   • The incumbents will coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and following all established standards of practice within State and Federal guidelines. Provide oversight of non-RN personnel and act as a resource for ancillary staff on assigned unit. Act as preceptor to new staff and/or students as requested. Adhere to all facility policies and procedures, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program. Provide safe and therapeutic care using the ICARE values inherent in our hospital culture. As part of the ACRP RNs deliver professional nursing care to age-specific patients in Acute Care Inpatient Division, which includes a 30-bed Medical Oncology unit, a 15 bed Cardiac unit, a 17-bed medical surgical unit and a 30-bed medical surgical unit. As a member of the ACRP, staff are afforded a unique opportunity to advance their career and expand their nursing skills by working in diverse environments. The ACRP RN is used as an adjunct throughout the acute care areas to ensure each unit is adequately staffed to provide optimum nursing care to all patients. Staff are required to be on-call (on a rotating schedule) and therefore: MUST be able to report to duty within a maximum of 60 minutes to meet the call-schedule requirement.
