About the Position: This position is located in the Perinatal Special Care Unit /Mother Infant Unit at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation .A recruitment or relocation incentive MAY BE authorized for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Salary negotiation MAY BE available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Advanced In Hire (AIH) MAY BE authorized for highly qualified candidates
- Provide comprehensive professional nursing care to OB/GYN patients and their newborns with medical conditions ranging from routine care to complex complications.
- Develop nursing care plans and procedures, setting standards of care, prescribing special care and identify specific nursing problems for all patients
- Perform procedures, treatments, and medication administration
- Provide evidence-based instructions and education to patient/significant other and/or family members/caregivers.
- Assist providers with procedures.
