This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

• Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional Major duties and responsibilities: A. Participate in HUD Continuum of Care (CoC) meetings and planning efforts which may include leadership roles within the CoC group. B. Provide direct linkage from community services to VHA homeless program services through regular and consistent outreach and communication with community providers. This includes, but is not limited to, direct linkage to VA mental health services for those Veterans who are at high risk for suicide. C. Participate in case conferencing process within the CoC's coordinated entry system to help inform and facilitate referrals to VA programs such as HUD-VASH, SSVF, HCHV CRS, and GPD. D. Ensures efficient sharing of Veteran data and program information, as allowable under VA Privacy and Information Security policies and Directives. This will include knowledge of HMIS and HOMES data standards, data sharing and privacy authorities, HUD guidance, and other applicable documents or established guidance. E. Provide support to the VA homeless program teams as a functional member of the team, to include participation in outreach activities and subject matter consultation on community involved interventions for homeless Veterans. F. Develop partnerships with community agencies with regular contact and communication. G. Provide appropriate clinical documentation for all contacts with or about Veterans who are engaged through outreach services, HUD VASH or coordinated Entry System. H. Provide recovery-oriented and housing first services in outreach and to the caseload of HUD VASH Veterans, with the goal of establishing the Veteran independently in the community at the Veteran's highest level of functioning. I. Performs site visits of HUD-VASH apartments to ensure that veterans reside in safe environments in compliance with local housing codes. J. Transport veterans in government vehicles in support of meeting the goals identified in the veteran's recovery plan. The employee will adhere to the requirements and guidance offered in ECHCS Policy 00-104, "Transporting Patients in Government Vehicles." K. Performs other related duties as assigned. When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of higher or unique qualifications or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade). Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience. Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child. Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66.
