About the Position: This position is located at National Capital Region, Naval Health Clinic Annapolis, in Annapolis, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Provide information to patients on proper use of medications, referring questions requiring professional knowledge and experience to a registered pharmacist.
- Review profile in computer system for allergies, drug/drug or drug/food interactions, and for duplicate orders.
- Set up prescriptions by obtaining correct stock containers, counting or pouring correct amount of medication, and placing medication in smaller containers.
- Consults with prescriber or pharmacist to clarify issues or problems with dosing, interactions, or instructions.
- Respond to both oral and/or written requests for medication in a timely manner.
