About the Position: This position is located at Army Health Clinic Aberdeen, Director of Branch Clinics, Army Health Clinic Pharmacy Service, in Aberdeen, Maryland. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Receives, reviews, prepares and fills physician orders for prescriptions, bulk drug orders, compounding, bulk compounding, reconstitution, and preparing injectables for a full range of pharmaceuticals to include controlled drugs on the formulary.
- Determines type of substance, strength, dosage, and quantity to be dispensed in accordance with accepted practice and pharmacy standing operating procedures.
- Operates pharmacy automation equipment to include automated drug dispensing and prepackaging units.
- Provides information to patients on proper use of medications, referring questions requiring professional knowledge to the pharmacist.
- Performs pharmaceutical calculations for a wide variety of preparations.
