The Nurse III Sterile Processing Services (SPS) Quality and Education Coordinator demonstrates leadership, experience, and creative approaches to improvement in quality assurance outcomes and is responsible for developing and coordinating efforts for providing expert, evidence-based education to staff who use and handle critical and semi-critical RMD.
- Assists with the orientation of new SPS employees, evaluation of their progress in the orientation process, and development and implementation of a learning plan for improving identified deficiencies. Collects data, monitors staff compliance with relevant policies, directives, and standards. Provides reports detailing trends, and provides direct staff support to all services in planning, designing, integrating, implementing, modifying, and administering, a comprehensive quality management program area. Provides educational instruction and training for technical and nursing staff in SPS, procedural, clinical and surgical units that utilize critical and semi-critical RMD.
