About the Position:This position is located at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
- Serve as a registered nurse in the Nephrology Clinic and Dialysis Unit, providing highly specialized inpatient nursing care in the fields of hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, continuous renal replacement therapy, and therapeutic plasmapheresis.
- Conduct outpatient ambulatory patient intakes; administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous infusion medications; and provide comprehensive patient education on treatment plans, medication regimens, and self-care.
- Write, evaluate, and revise dialysis training and procedure manuals and other education materials.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate dialysis unit placement, vascular access planning, and troubleshooting of vascular access issues.
- Educate patients and their families about kidney disease and available dialysis modalities, including treatment procedures, benefits, risks, and ongoing self-management requirements.
