Stroke and Sepsis Prog Coord RN

Leads the system-wide development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of evidence-based stroke and sepsis programs for adult patient populations. The role partners with medical directors, nursing leaders, frontline teams, Quality, emergency medical services, and community organizations to maintain certification readiness, strengthen clinical practice, and improve patient outcomes in alignment with CMS, DNV, and American Heart Association standards.   Annual Salary Range: $83,116.80 - $132,995.20   Qualification Education:

• Requires an associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing preferred.

Experience:

• Requires five (5) years of relevant registered nursing experience, including critical care, emergency department, stroke, sepsis, healthcare quality, or performance improvement experience.
• Charge nurse experience and experience with process improvement teams, clinical quality databases, healthcare quality, or performance improvement preferred.

Certification/Licensure:

• Requires a current, valid Arizona RN license in good standing or a valid compact RN license for the current state of practice.
• Requires a BLS card obtained through an approved American Heart Association (AHA) training center.
• Requires current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN), or related quality or specialty certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Clinical Expertise: This position requires advanced knowledge and clinical skill in professional nursing theory, stroke care continuum’s, and sepsis management bundles.
• Quality & Compliance: Must possess a strong understanding of healthcare quality assurance, risk management, and performance improvement methodologies, specifically relating to stroke and sepsis core measures and accreditation standards (e.g., The Joint Commission, CMS).
• Education & Training: Knowledge of the principles of teaching and adult learning to effectively lead patient, family, and staff education initiatives.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, including professional proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation to draft clinical protocols and educational materials.
• Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to be self-directed and work collaboratively across multidisciplinary healthcare teams to drive clinical outcomes.
• Technical Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and extensive experience navigating Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) for data abstraction and clinical tracking.
