About the Position: This position is located at the McClellan Satellite Clinic and within the Directorate of Medicine, Medical Operations, Family Health Department for David Grant Medicant Center on Travis AFB, CA. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
- Provide practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient patient clinic.
- Deliver nursing support through in-person and virtual care, including patient triage, nurse-managed protocols, medication management, and follow-up on laboratory, imaging, and referral results.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor patients for therapeutic response or adverse effects.
- Assist healthcare teams with examinations, treatments, and medical procedures by preparing patients and equipment, maintaining infection-control practices, and monitoring patient status before, during, and after care.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, preventive care, treatment plans, and use of medical devices while collaborating with the healthcare team to support individualized care plans.
