The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is located at the Hopkinsville, KY VA Clinic and is a registered professional nurse who is accountable to the Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) Program Director. They function as a day to day clinical leader, directing and guiding the nursing staff to ensure delivery of safe, high quality care. This includes the management, supervision, and evaluation of care delivered by the HBPC nursing staff.
- Assistant Nurse Manager Pay Scale N09Q The Non-Supervisory Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) supports the Nurse Manager (NM) in overseeing operations of a nursing unit/patient care area. Fosters team development, ensures compliance with standards of clinical practice, and serves as a key liaison between staff and leadership. This role combines clinical proficiency with leadership responsibilities and is often considered part of the succession plan for future NM positions, providing opportunities to develop management skills and prepare for higher-level leadership. Functions as a proficient clinician and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or overseeing direct patient care. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. Demonstrates sound decision-making and judgment and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Self-directed and influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team and leading innovative process improvement initiatives.
