About the Position: The Practical Nurse (Outpatient) provides support to the A. T. Augusta Military Medical Center in Fort Belvoir VA, helping ensure consistent, high-quality patient care and facility operations. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Provide practical nursing care to patients in the outpatient clinicwith a variety of medical conditions.
- Record vital signs, ordering labs, tracking patient’s laboratory, radiology orders.
- Perform direct nursing care to clinic patients via tele medicine, virtual, and face-to-face care.
- Medication administration and observation.
- Educate patients and families about prescribed treatments, reinforcing adherence to the medical plan.
