This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.   • VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Social workers in the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Program (MHRRTP) provide case management services and residential treatment services for veterans in recovery from substances use disorder, mental illnesses, and/or homelessness. The position duties include, but are not limited to: Incumbent possesses the skills to offer psychosocial interventions, including case management and supportive counseling, educational groups, and utilize the milieu to enhance the ability of the individual and group to reach goals of wellness and recovery. Provide case management and group treatment to the veteran to assist them with accessing resources needed to promote wellness/recovery and independent living. Coordinates community-based services, including information and referral for additional services from other VA programs, other government programs and community agencies programs. Utilizes group therapy and psychoeducation group skills to develop and facilitate using established and evidenced based curricula. Participates in maintenance and development of evidenced based curricula for the MHRRTP as needed. Knowledge and experience in the use of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures. Provides support services to other staff regarding the psychosocial needs of veterans and the impact of psychosocial problems on health care and adherence to treatment plan.
