About the Position: Serve as an Internal Medicine Physician, delivering comprehensive care in an ambulatory clinic setting. Provide high-quality, evidence-based care that supports medical readiness, promotes wellness, and ensures continuity of care at the Naval Health Clinic Annapolis. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Provide diagnosis and treatment for active duty service members, retired military personnel, eligible family members, and authorized civilian personnel presenting with acute, episodic, and chronic illnesses, including complex medical conditions.
- Develop and implement coherent, evidence-based treatment strategies; identify patient needs and conduct functional assessments to determine and deliver appropriate clinical services.
- Deliver ongoing care, including continuing treatment and follow-up for illnesses, injuries, diseases, and medical complications.
- Identify disease syndromes that may be difficult to discern and require advanced clinical judgment.
- Prescribe and initiate treatment plans for patients whose conditions do not present major complications, ensuring safe and effective care.
