About the Position: This position is Mon- Fri. It is located in the orthopedics department; working with one of the department's specialties to assist with patients navigating the clinic and the operative process. Nurses ensure that patients are prepared for surgical procedures for multiple orthopedic surgeons. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Obtain patient history and collect health information.
- Set up, operate, and monitor medical equipment.
- Communicate the plan of care to patients and family members.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
- Perform comprehensive assessments of patient and family learning needs.
