About the Position: These positions are located at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. Recruitment or Relocation incentives MAY be authorized. Advance-in Hire/Salary negotiation may be available to candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Deliver advanced, specialized nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients ranging in age from neonate to 18 years.
- Provide support to physicians during complex and potentially life-threatening procedures, including cardioversion and the insertion of invasive lines such as arterial, venous, and pulmonary artery catheters.
- Prepare and administer high-risk medications as well as intravenous fluids, in support of initiating advanced cardiovascular life support interventions.
- Assess patients cardiac output, vital signs, peripheral perfusion, and level of consciousness, and evaluate blood gas results, including arterial and mixed venous oxygen saturation.
- Assess the effectiveness of nursing interventions based on patient responses and modify the care plan as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
