About the Position: The work is performed in the ambulatory (AIC, Hem/Onc Clinic) and inpatient settings where there is exposure to contagious disease, radiation, chemotherapy, chemotherapeutic agents, blood products, infection, mechanical, chemical hazards. Gloves, gowns, masks and other personal protective equipment may be required. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Provide specialized patient care.
- Prepare complex parenteral solutions with multiple additives; recognize medication and solution incompatibilities.
- Prepare documentation of life-cycles of all forms of parenteral therapy.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and complications related to parenteral therapy and initiates appropriate nursing actions.
- Initiate intravenous therapy in emergency situations.
