  • Responsible for developing policy and objectives, appraising programs, and initiating requirements for the management of the Employee Health Program bureau wide. Serves as a technical resource regarding management of blood borne pathogen and post exposure prophylaxis for staff in the institutions. Discriminates between normal and abnormal findings to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems and take appropriate clinical action based on the treatment plan. Serves as the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) for contracts involving Fitness for Duty examinations, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, and infectious disease treatment. Interprets healthcare policy guidance and Federal Regulations concerning employee health, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and American Disability Act Amendment Act (ADAA) and provides assistance to managers and employees in its interpretation.
