*** Recruitment or Relocation incentive authorized for eligible, highly qualified candidates! *** The Resource/Float Pool Nurse Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care based on age-specific components and assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care. The incumbent will also administer medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines.

  • Duties include but are not limited to: Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of interdisciplinary care. Establishes a therapeutic relationship, allowing the patient to attain, maintain or regain optimal function through assessment and treatment. Engages patients, families, and other caregivers to incorporate knowledge, values, and beliefs into care planning without judgement or discrimination. Demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others for all patient care areas included within Resource Pool assignments. Provides peers with informal constructive feedback for improvement. Contributes professional nursing perspective in discussions with the interdisciplinary team. Serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, improving outcomes for the immediate practice setting. Participates in the advancement of the profession through mentoring, precepting, and/or teaching. Leads initiatives for expanding best techniques to identify and apply patient preferences to shared care delivery decisions in the immediate practice settings. Assesses the immediate practice setting to identify efficient, cost-effective care delivery.
