The primary purpose of this position is to provide full technical and administrative supervision for the unit in planning, organizing, directing, reviewing work and administering personnel matters. This position is located in the branch of Ambulatory Pediatric clinic within the Division of Nursing at the Gallup Indian Medical Center. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Manages the clinical unit by providing adequate unit staffing, unit organization functions, unit safety and Branch communications. Maintains competency in current nursing skills, knowledge, practices, procedures, leadership and management knowledge and abilities. Supervises, directs and coordinates all aspects of an outpatient clinic's nursing unit by providing leadership, direction, and technical expertise in planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of work performance and delivery of nursing services.
