About the Position: This is a Nurse (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) GS-0610-12 position located a Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD.

  • Provide comprehensive and highly specialized professional nursing care to critically ill and/or acutely ill neonates and infants with potential or actual life-threatening health problems.
  • Administer a wide variety of medications, including rapid-acting, highly potent, and potentially lethal medications.
  • Plan, delegate, and direct nursing care, based on patient care requirements and staff skill levels.
  • Respond to emergencies, codes, or perinatal rapid response team activities throughout the facility.
  • Assist with complex and potentially life-threatening procedures such as the insertion of arterial and venous catheters, chest tubes, and endotracheal tubes.
