About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Maintains and improves the laboratory Quality Management System, including quality assurance, quality control, proficiency testing, document control, competency assessment, occurrence management, and corrective and preventive actions
- Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, safety, and chemical hygiene requirements.
- Conducts internal audits and leads accreditation and inspection readiness activities, including document review, staff preparation, coordination of inspections, response to findings, and corrective-action tracking.
- Monitors laboratory testing processes and quality indicators across pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely patient testing.
- Investigates nonconformities, quality events, safety incidents, and assay or instrument performance issues; performs root-cause analysis and implements corrective actions.
