Dietitian - Operation Better Start

DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Works as part of the Operation Better Start multidisciplinary team to conduct nutrition interviews, provide assessments, and formulate treatment plans for pediatric and adolescent clients ages birth to 26, and their families.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Experience:
- Registered and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist with minimum of 3 years experience in family based behavioral counseling intervention, working with pediatric and adolescent clients with a range of nutritional issues (eating disorders, failure to thrive, hyperlipemia, hypertension, insulin resistance, diabetes, obesity etc.)

Education and Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics or Human Nutrition.
- Completion of a Dietetic internship recognized by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

License, Certification & Registration:
- LDN - MA Dietitian/Nutritionist acquired within 9 months of hire.
- RD - Registered Dietitian through the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 6 months of hire.

Other Requirements:
- Continuing education in accordance with Registration and Licensing requirements.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must present appropriate leadership role as a health care provider.
