This position is located in Radiology/Imaging Services Long Beach, CA. The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist performs a variety of fixed, fluoroscopic, and portable radiographs according to department and DRT quality standards. The technologist will perform examinations the level that was determined according to DRT Quality Standards
- Duties Include, but are not limited to: - The DRT Lead performs a full range of diagnostic radiographic examinations while serving as the primary technical lead within the Diagnostic Imaging Service. - The incumbent also performs screening and diagnostic mammography examinations - including digital mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) - on a regular and recurring basis, constituting approximately 25 percent of the overall workload. - DRTs perform procedures and examinations in hospitals 4 or clinics under the direction of radiologists and other medical officers. - Provides a full range of general radiologic imaging exams, has a general knowledge of the different modalities within the diagnostic radiologic area, and is accountable to the next higher-level supervisor - Functions as a lead DRT for a group of DRTs at the full performance level and below, providing input on performance, resolving daily workplace issues, and maintaining efficient workflow Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
