Ozarks Healthcare is seeking an experienced Chemistry Lead Medical Laboratory Technologist/Scientist to provide technical leadership within our Laboratory department. This position performs and oversees laboratory testing, supports quality and regulatory requirements, troubleshoots instrumentation, and serves as a technical resource and mentor for laboratory staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Perform and oversee chemistry testing, including manual and automated procedures.
- Monitor quality control, calibrations, and equipment performance.
- Troubleshoot automated analyzers and assist with resolving testing issues.
- Serve as a technical resource for Chemistry staff and assist with training and competency activities.
- Assist with evaluating and communicating abnormal or unusual patient results.
- Support Proficiency Testing and regulatory compliance activities.
- Maintain compliance with CLIA, CAP, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Provide general supervision to students and staff in training.
- Perform waived, moderately complex, and high-complexity testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Immunology, Microbiology, Toxicology, and Transfusion Services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Doctorate, master's, bachelor's, or associate degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
Experience: Minimum of two years of laboratory experience.
Certification: Registry/certification as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MT or CLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Participation in required on-call, call-back, and holiday rotations.
- Evening, night, weekend, and holiday work may be required based on department needs.
