The VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) is seeking an Advanced Practice Nurse (Certified Nurse Practitioner) for an Intermittent position with Spinal Cord Injury Service in Dallas, TX.
- An intermittent staff APN position is available in the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) unit in the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS) in Dallas, TX. This position is fully in-person. Core responsibilities include the following: Provides comprehensive medical care (assessment, consultation, treatment) to patients in the SCI department. Conducts diagnostic evaluations and pharmacotherapy. Manages individuals with a broad range of clinical problems, including but not limited to pain management, mood and anxiety disorders, physical limitations and Spinal Cord Injuries in the Veteran population. Serves as a collaborative member of a multidisciplinary SCI team. Supervises and teaches other health care professional trainees such as APN residents.
