About the Position: The incumbent will be a Social Worker providing support to the A. T. Augusta Military Medical Center in Fort Belvoir VA. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Provide treatment to highly complex cases in which individuals are severely impacted by moderate to severe psychiatric diagnoses.
- Collect biopsychosocial information about patients through interview, case history, observation techniques, and other assessment methods.
- Analyze information collected to identify symptoms.
- Evaluate results of counseling methods to determine the effectiveness of treatment used.
- Independently provide comprehensive social work services.
