This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. • This position serves as the Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) Program Coordinator for the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) Teams. BHIP is a multidisciplinary outpatient program within the MH Service that provides state-of-the-art mental health services for veterans based on the psychiatric rehabilitation recovery model. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Providing a wide range of diagnostic and psychotherapeutic services for veterans with mental illnesses, including diagnostic interviews, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, psychiatric consultation, psychiatric medication evaluation and management, and psychological testing. Collaborating and advocacy for veterans with mental illness and their family members. Education and training of staff, in conjunction with other VA professionals, to promote the transition from maintenance models of treatment to the contemporary recovery model. Championing Evidence Based Therapies and measurement-based approach to care. The MFT Program Coordinator is expected to provide assigned psychotherapy services within the Mental Health Service for MH patients; and to be responsible for the clinical and administrative supervision of all BHIP LIPs (Psychiatrists, APRNs, Psychologists, Social Workers, LPMHCs) at one of the major sites of care (Lake Nona, Lake Baldwin, Viera, Daytona Beach Westside Pavilion, or the combined Community Based Outpatient Clinics). The incumbent is expected to adhere to service standards regarding matters of timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with procedures and quantity of work produced. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and processes to implement the deployment of psychologists and counselors in the MHC.
