About the Position: This position is located at the 66th Medical Group, Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
- Perform comprehensive outpatient health assessments, formulate diagnoses, and prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments in direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease for patients of all ages.
- Perform ambulatory surgical procedures including but not limited to: casting/splinting, suturing, excisional and shave skin biopsies, joint aspirations and injections, and colposcopies.
- Interpret diagnostic and testing procedures to include laboratory and radiological examinations.
- Coordinate with physician and community resources to formulate multi-disciplinary patient treatment and management regimens.
- Advise other non-physician providers, nursing, and para-professional staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non-urgent medical problems.
