Job Summary

Beacon Health System is seeking a dedicated Manager of Physician Practice Operations to oversee daily operations for our Diabetes Education practice in Kalamazoo, MI. In this role, you will lead daily administrative and clinical practice operations, drive business growth strategies, manage staff relations, and ensure high-quality patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations Management: Oversee daily practice operations, including patient flow, site policies, services, and staff development.

• Leadership & Liaison: Act as the primary liaison between practice physicians, office staff, and external clinical or administrative departments.

• Strategic Growth & Finance: Partner with physician leadership to develop growth strategies and business plans; support financial, budget, and business goals.

• Staffing & HR: Manage recruitment, scheduling, payroll, performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict resolution.

• Financial & Billing Oversight: Monitor billing and collection functions, oversee practice budgets, and support physician compensation system implementations as needed.

• Compliance & Quality Care: Assess patient care quality, coordinate services across care teams, and monitor regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma / GED with 2 years of cumulative experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience, OR

  • 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience.

• Strong background in healthcare operations, practice management, or clinical administration.

• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
