The Supervisory Pharmacist for an Indian Health Service (IHS), Pine Ridge Service Unit provides ambulatory care and hospital services. This position provides oversight and strategic direction for pharmacy operations, including clinical care, staff management, and regulatory compliance and fulfills the IHS mission through professional pharmacy practice A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Ensures compliance with all accreditation standards and maintains documentation, coordinates audits, and ensures patient safety through risk reduction strategies. Manages performance appraisals, establishes individual development plans, and provides coaching, feedback, and training for a diverse staff of pharmacist and pharmacy technicians. Serves as medication subject matter expert with physicians, nurses, and other staff on drug-related problems; monitor adverse drug reactions, review and evaluate drug literature. Participates in medication reconciliation processes, interdisciplinary team rounds, and collaborative treatment planning.
