About the Position: This position is located at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 1.49% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change.
- Receive, read, and interpret prescriptions for outpatients written by Medical generalists.
- Counsel patients regarding their prescribed medications.
- Dispense pharmaceuticals to outpatients.
- Compound, prepare, or select and label prescribed drugs and pharmaceuticals from available stocks to provide the required therapeutic agent.
- Assess equipment and supply needs in coordination with the officer-in-charge and programs purchases within budgetary constraints.
