This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

• VA Careers - Psychologist: https://youtube.com/embed/77qHlLw9Xck Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional The Substance Abuse Use Disorder Recovery Program (SUDRP) Staff Psychologist provides psychological care to Veterans in the outpatient SUDPR at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. In collaboration with the SUDPR team and requesting providers, the staff psychologist evaluates the Veterans presenting clinical concerns and problems conceptualized within the biopsychosocial model, and facilitates access to the resources that will best promote recovery from the presenting concern. The major duties of the Psychologist - Substance Use Disorders Recovery Program (SUDRP) include, but are not limited to: Provides a full range of psychodiagnostic services, including assessment and evidence-based psychotherapeutic techniques for Veterans diagnosed with SUD and related disorders. Delivers care at the West 10th Street location of Veterans Health Indiana and other required locations. Participates in tele-mental health or similar activities to support Veterans who live far from VA facilities. Provides evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Contingency Management, and co-occurring treatment options. Works within the SUDRP team and participate in interdisciplinary team dispositions for patients receiving SUDRP or other clinical services. Provides consultation services to medical center and Community Based Outpatient Clinic staff on a wide range of patient care issues. Provides ethical individual and group mental health services to eligible Veterans diagnosed with SUD and related disorders. Performs assessment and referral services, design and prepare diagnostic assessments, and formulate individual and group treatment plans. Prepares initial and updated treatment plans, and plan for follow-up care after treatment completion. Operates independently in all areas, consulting with peers and supervisors when appropriate. Serves as a consultant to other medical center staff and trainees, assisting in the formulation of psychological characteristics and appropriate treatment expectations for their patients.
