This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.   • The primary function is the provision of primary and acute care services in an outpatient setting to include chronic disease management and preventive health. The PCP will demonstrate clinical competence in history taking; examination; diagnosis; therapeutic ability; effectiveness in emergencies; patient management consultations and record keeping. The PCP will also provide supervision collaboration with mid-level providers (Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants). Participation in Process Improvement/Quality Assurance projects and other administrative duties as assigned. Experience in Women's Health will be given added consideration. This is a full-time position. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; if evening and/or Saturday clinics are established, there may be some coverage required during those times. The Physician will further support the VA mission through participation in applicable VA national, VISN, and local quality and process improvement initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, performance measures & monitors, and systems redesign/advanced clinical access projects. There are also administrative tasks that involve patient management and maintenance of treatment records in primary care that are essential to the VA mission of healthcare.
