About the Position: This is a Physician (Occupational Medicine) position with the Occupational Health Clinic, Fort Drum, New York. This is an open continuous announcement. We accept applications on an ongoing basis. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Medical malpractice liability insurance is not required for federal civilian healthcare providers as they are covered by the Federal Tort Claims Act (28 U.S.C. § 1346(b)) while acting within the scope of their employment.
- Perform occupational physical examinations of various types including pre-placement, medical surveillance, medical qualification, disability retirement, fitness for duty, and any other special employee examinations that may be required.
- Coordinates with facility and community resources to provide comprehensive work-related care to employees.
- Notify management of exam results and recommend appropriate work restrictions/accommodations.
- Interpret ancillary test results for evidence of possible occupational disease or confounding personal health conditions.
- Diagnoses and appropriately consults for follow-up evaluations for conditions discovered during the occupational medical examinations.
