About the Position: This position is located within the 412th Medical Group, Edwards Air Force Base, California. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.
- Serve as a recognized technical authority in the delivery of Family Medicine across the family medicine clinic, primary care clinic, urgent care clinic, and other clinical settings within the military medical treatment facility.
- Prepare treatment plans based on thorough evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
- Identify illness and prescribe and administer healthcare treatment plans for patients across the full spectrum of age, gender, and complexity, including those suffering from injury or disease.
- Develop and implement new clinical approaches, treatment protocols, and care delivery models, including primary care optimization, population health management initiatives, and chronic disease management programs.
- Perform emergency services and crisis intervention, including life-saving emergency procedures when necessary.
