This position is located at the Zuni Comprehensive Community Health Center, Zuni, New Mexico, in the Urgent Care/Emergency Services department. The purpose of this position is to serve as the Director of Emergency Services, overseeing urgent and emergent care, and to serve as a primary care clinician. The incumbent reports to the Clinical Director. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Assign work to the Health Technicians (Emergency Room/Urgent Care) and to the Advance Practice Nurse, based on priorities and capabilities of employees. Develop and evaluate work performance. Give advice, counsel, or instruction to employes on both work and administrative matters. Interview candidates for positions, recommends appointment, promotion or reassignment to such positions. Hears and resolve complaints from employees. Effect minor disciplinary measures such as warnings and reprimands, recommending other actions in more serious cases. Obtains medical history, conducts physical examination, orders appropriate laboratory and x-ray procedures, interprets clinical data and convey information to patients and their families. Provides medical care to patients of all ages in the urgent care/emergency room, outpatient clinic, community clinic and inpatient services including obstetrical unit. Participates in the overnight and weekend coverage of the hospital. Develops and implements a strategic vision for the Urgent Care and Emergency Services. Develops and strengthens partnerships with outside Emergency Medicine Departments.
