About the Position: This position is located at the Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center, Dir of Mental Health, Psychology Services. The primary responsibility of the position is to facilitate care of beneficiaries regarding the delivery of psychiatric services; Supports individual patient care, and overall patient health. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
- Provides evaluations, histories, goal setting, and treatment planning for children, adolescents, and adults.
- Performs intakes, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and prescribe/monitor psychotropic medications.
- Screens for side effects, assess efficacy, and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated.
- Maintains accurate electronic records and coordinate referrals with primary care, specialty providers, and external agencies.
- Works with multidisciplinary teams, advise unit leadership on soldier well being, and monitor/document significant behavioral changes.
