The Mankato and St. James Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) has an opening for a Full-Time Supervisory Staff Physician. CBOCs within the Minneapolis VA Health Care System provide care to Veterans near their hometown and serve over 50,000 Veterans throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin.

The Mankato and St. James Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) is seeking a Family Practice or Internal Medicine trained primary care provider with administrative and supervisory experience for a position as Medical Supervisory is sought for a VA clinic in Mankato and St. James, MN part of the Minneapolis, MN VA health care system. Our facilities include an updated fully equipped medical clinic with a lab, x- ray and telemedicine capabilities. Our physicians serve the primary care health needs of Mankato and St. James and rural areas using a team approach with nursing and onsite clinical pharmacist. Mental Health services within the clinic help to provide comprehensive care to the Veterans served in this VA Community Clinic. Providers will perform outpatient duties and management of scheduled and unscheduled patients. An assigned panel of patients is determined by the VHA PCMM software package which is specific to their practice and setting. Focus on care include the chronic disease initiative areas of CHF, COPD and DM, mental health collaboration in the PC setting, MOVE program focusing on weight loss, diet and activity as well as health promotion/disease management. The Medical Supervisor of Mankato and St. James CBOC will recruit providers, oversee clinical operations, oversight of all physicians, PA's, and NP's, and otherwise administer the clinic in collaboration with Clinic Nurse Manager. Recruitment/Relocation Incentives (Sign-on Bonus): A recruitment/relocation incentive is authorized for highly qualified applicants. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME) Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement) Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification) Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:30pm.
