About the Position: This position is located at Fort Drum, New York, Guthrie Army Health Clinic, Director of Medicine, Family Medicine. - Assess, plan, evaluate, and modify the plan of acute and chronically ill patients.
- Discriminate between normal and abnormal findings of diagnostics tests to recognize early stages of serious physical, emotional, or mental problems.
- Determine the primary care requirements of adult patients and engage in a collaborative approach with the physician team to assess, manage, and adjust therapeutic strategies as necessary.
- Write prescriptions, order the administration of medications, dispense medication and prescribe controlled substances in accordance with scope of practice for Physician Assistants.
- Evaluate the total health care needs of patients and develop plans to meet the patients' needs.
