About the Position: The Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible and accountable for acquiring and demonstrating clinical expertise and professional knowledge of health care programs to diagnoses disease, illness disorder or injury; institutes treatment of patients' compliance with internal and external requirements and standards for seriously ill or injured. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Performs medical screening examinations in an inpatient or outpatient setting for patients of all ages
- Supports medical readiness by performing periodic health assessments, deployment health assessments, separation physicals, commissioning physicals, and retirement physicals.
- Secures health and medical history from the patient or family member, records findings and makes clinical evaluation.
- Examines patients and performs initial patient work-up and assessment of patients' care and treatment, and determines the need for and orders laboratory tests, X-rays and other procedures necessary to complete assessment of the patient.
- Develops and recommends new approaches for providing improved, quality care for military and their family members, and other beneficiaries.
