About the Position: This position is located at the 82nd Medical Group at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
- Conduct and lead collaborative patient care across inpatient and outpatient settings, performing systematic physical examinations and interpreting normal and abnormal findings to form diagnoses related to physical, emotional, or social disability.
- Obtain and document a comprehensive, problem-focused health history in the patients electronic medical record.
- Educate the patient and family on the healthcare process, diagnostic test, therapeutic regimen, including medication, diet, and follow-up care and strategies for incorporating the treatment plan into daily life.
- Consult and collaborate with the physician on patient management, including evaluating and adjusting the therapeutic plan and managing high-risk, unstable, or highly complex patient care.
- Develop, review, and update policies, protocols, standards of care, operating procedures, and scope of practice, in collaboration with multidisciplinary members of the healthcare team.
