North Florida/ South Georgia VA Healthcare System is seeking an experienced and dynamic Gastroenterologist for the Medical Services. This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Oversee the administration of conscious sedation. Perform standard GI procedures such as EGD (gastroscopy), colonoscopies, and other procedures. Diagnose, treat, and manage patients with gastrointestinal diseases according to standard, usual, and acceptable methods and techniques. Work in collaboration with gastroenterology advanced practice providers. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m.- 4:30 p.m.(Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).
