Adult Outpatient - Qualified Mental Health Associate

Benton County is seeking dedicated and passionate Adult Outpatient Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY

Provide case management, skills training, and community-based support to adults diagnosed with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) as part of the Adult Outpatient Mental Health team. Services are provided in the office, in the community, and in clients’ homes based on individual needs.

This position plays an important role in helping clients maintain stability in the community and successfully transition between different levels of care, including discharge from inpatient, residential, crisis, or other higher levels of behavioral health services into outpatient care. Work may include care coordination, connection to community resources, support with treatment engagement, development of independent living and coping skills, assistance with housing and benefits, and collaboration with other providers and community partners.

Services are provided in individual and group settings using evidence-based, recovery-oriented practices and in accordance with program standards. This position works closely with Qualified Mental Health Professionals (QMHPs) and other members of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

  • QMHA - Health Care Professional 1: $65,566.63 - $94,807.76

The following minimum qualifications are REQUIRED for this position:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or closely related field; AND

• 1 year of related mental health work experience.

• Must be registered as a Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) with Mental Health & Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO).

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Bilingual preferred.
• Experience providing skill training, case management, and treatment groups.
• Enjoys working as a team

Special Requirements

• Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
• Valid Oregon driver's license. This position requires driving and may require use of a personal vehicle
