This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application.   • The staff Hematologist/Oncologist will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties: Provide expert consultation and treatment to patients in the outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinic; as well as provide feedback and consultation with the other services within the Hudson Valley Health Care System. The Physician will evaluate, triage, and prioritize requests from Primary Care providers and others for outpatient hematology/oncology subspecialty consultations. They will obtain medical histories, conduct physical examinations, order and evaluate appropriate laboratory testing, and plan and prescribe treatment for patients. The Hematologist/Oncologist will coordinate medical management and care with Primary Care providers and other medical personnel in a multidisciplinary health care delivery system. The Hematologist/Oncologist will perform administrative tasks as assigned, such as peer reviews and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE). Provide Hematology/Oncology on-call services as assigned. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday; 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Tour will be discussed during interview process.
