The position is located within the Chinle Service Unit, Division of Clinical Services and Urgent Care Services in Chinle, Arizona. Its primary purpose is to provide professional and technical supervision to Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants assigned to Emergency Department Pod B. Provides comprehensive medical care to pediatric and adult patients within a multidisciplinary healthcare facility. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

Reviews medical records, orders diagnostic tests, develops treatment plans, provides medications and other therapeutic care, and documents patient care. Supervises Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, including orientation, performance appraisal, competency assessment, credentialing, training, discipline, and leave approval. Supports provider staffing, workload management, performance improvement, and efficient delivery of high-quality urgent and emergency care. Promotes communication and cooperation among clinical, administrative, and support departments and participates in Medical Staff, departmental, training, and collaborative activities.
