Recording prognosis, treatment, response, and progress matters nearly as much, and so does instructing patient and family in what continues at home. Therapists test and measure strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory or circulatory efficiency, adjust treatment as those measures move, obtain informed consent, and direct and assess the supportive staff working with them.
