Ottawa County careers

Ottawa County, Michigan reaches most residents through its courts, elections, parks, and property offices, but the county also runs a substantial care side: Public Health, Community Mental Health serving people with mental illness and developmental disabilities, Environmental Public Health, and a Veterans Affairs office providing financial aid to honorably discharged wartime veterans and their surviving spouses. A Board of Commissioners sets policy, with an appointed County Administrator supervising operations. Environmental Sustainability, Facilities Maintenance, Human Resources, and the Sheriff fill out an organization that handles most county-level work in-house.
